My Walmrt Overhaul

I want to start out my apologizing the the very nice women behind me today at Walmart, sorry I took sooo long. And I hope you are reading this and WELCOME, I can't wait to help you save money!

Next I want to apologize to all my readers because I am a bit of a scatter brain and it is very hard for me to put all my procedures of shopping in writing. I also went to school for math and feel the need to express every dime spent to you. I cannot strive enough the fact that when you purchase coupons from clipping services or Ebay that you have to add that into your cost. I hope you can follow that logic as I try to break down my Walmart overhaul today.

Total was $147.63 plus tax. I paid $14.48! Total savings of over 90%, I think?!?!

I got PAID to Shop!

Hopefully by now you are aware of the Walmart Coupon Policy which states "If coupon value exceeds the price of the item, the excess may be given to the customer as cash or applied toward the basket purchase."

With that being said you can actually get paid to shop. I went in yesterday and found the Similac Ready to Feed Sensitive style on Rollback for $3.84. I got 16 bottles(no I didn't clear the shelf and yes I do use it, not just stock piling). As you can see my baby girl is very excited to have gotten FREE formula!

I also want to explain to you that I did buy my coupons off Ebay in order to have enough coupons for formula. If you watched Extreme Couponing on TLC you will notice that the people that bought there coupons, which most did, did not add into there total spent what they spent on coupons. YOU HAVE TO DO THIS! Money spent on coupons is money out of pocket(OOP).

For 20 Similac coupons on Ebay that are for $5 off any Similac product(also from the 4/3 SS) I spent $12.51 on ebay. That comes out to .63 cents per coupon.

16 bottles Similac @ $3.84= $61.44-16 $5 off= $18.56 money maker- 16 x .63(what I spent per Q)= $8.48 overage!

I also bought 3 bags of candy for Easter @ $1.97 each

1 bag candy for $1.97-.55 here(Nestle Butterfinger Eggs)= $1.42

Head & Shoulders travel shampoo .97-$2.00 PG Mailer= $1.03 overage

Degree men's travel deodorant .97-$1.00(4/3SS)= .03 overage

All in all I walked out of the store with more money then I went in with and got lots of goodies. Ebay sells all kinds of coupons and you can do a search for a particulate item like Similac( just don't bid against me, haha!)

My .29 Trip to Walmart

You read that title right, I only spent .29 cents at Wal-Mart today. Here's how I did it.

Similac Ready to Feed $3.84-$5 coupon from 4/3 SS= $1.16 overage
Nivea for Men Body Wash $3.00-$2 coupon 2/6 RP= $1.00
Secret Clinical Strength Trial Size $2.47- $3 coupon from Ebony Magazine insert or PG Mailer= .53 overage x2
a small brush thing for my daughter(I have no idea where it's at now)= .97

Remember that Walmart takes the overage from your coupons and applies them to other items, or will even give you cash back. Make sure to take the Corporate Policy with you just in case.

The Benefits of Shopping without Kids

Yes according to the title I did get to have the rare experience of "Shopping without kids". Don't get me wrong I love my kids but all 4 of them can be such a distraction when trying to find good deals and being patient with cashiers. So I am very thankful to my husband for watching the kids for me while I went to Walmart yesterday and he is thankful to me for my deals, I hope.

My Walmart trip went very well and I am excited to break down my deals below for you. Remember that Walmart's new Coupon Policy is that if the coupon is for more then the item they must give you the full coupon amount towards other items. Go here to read and take one to with you when you shop.

Walmart Announces Price Match for Black Friday Sales

I am shocked to be typing this and kinda bummed at the same time. Walmart announced yesterday that they will price match other stores black Friday sales prices. The reason I am bummed is because it kinda takes the trill out of running around to all the different stores and putting them in order of what time they open. But for others you can possibly get all your deals in one place if Walmart carries the same item. Here is what Walmart posted on there website.

How it works:
You go to Walmart starting at 12:01am on Black Friday and take the ads with you from other stores (ie Target, Kohl's, CVS, etc) and I guess you should take your ad to customer service to let them know what you are going to do so you don't waste time if for some reason they will not accept your ad(if the competitor's store is to far away). Then take your items to register and hopefully they will give you the sales price from the other store.
